Certificate in Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

The Dental assistant is trained in dentistry techniques and performs general office duties, including a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Dental assistants work chairside, and some duties may be performed under general or direct supervision, as provided for by the Florida Board of Dentistry. 

Upon completion of the program, students are awarded a certificate in Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and are eligible to take the Expanded Function Dental Assistant exam to be a licensed Dental Assistant in the State of Florida. 

Licensure Requirements:

Florida REQUIRES dental assistants to have their EFDA from a Florida Board of Dentistry Approved school, although the Board does not issue licenses. Elite Dental Assistant School of Broward is approved by the Board of Dentistry.

Certificate in English as a Second Language (ESL)

Program Description

The ESL (English As A Second Language) program includes three levels of English development to provide instruction in English to individuals who would like to master the English language in order to be gainfully employed or move on to higher education.
